Global admissions are ongoing, and the International Academy is once again reporting good news in the Year of the Horse. The University of Queensland in Australia (ranked 42nd in the 2026 QS) has received a total of 3 admission letters!
This round of admissions covers two major directions: science and engineering, as well as humanities and social sciences, as follows:
·Mechanical Engineering x 2
·Psychology x 1
All three are exempt from IELTS admission
All three admissions this time clearly support the exemption of IELTS pathway: students can meet the language requirements of the school with their OSSD Grade 12 English scores, without the need to submit additional IELTS scores (subject to the final review by the school).
This also means that language is no longer the "last hurdle" of the application season, but can be achieved naturally through pre course planning and daily learning.
